Colorado Springs Engagement Photographer | Red Rock Canyon Open Space Engagement
With 2020 being a huge year full of surprises, many of my weddings got postponed to the following year! This left me with many openings which was a blessing in disguise, because I got to photograph this awesome couple.
When Sydney and Shane got in touch with me about their Colorado Springs engagement session, I just knew it would be a lot of fun – I was really excited. We spent the afternoon going for a walk in Red Rock Canyon Open Space, which is perfect for photos year-round, because it has great backdrops and easy trails. Not to mention, it’s not as busy as some of the other locations in the area!
Sydney and Shane met through Shane’s brother in high school. They describe themselves as playful, sarcastic, foodies, easy-going, laid-back, and definitely night owls! They have a few favorite things they love to do together. They really enjoy watching anime or tv shows, spoiling their dogs eating good food and attending sporting events.
When asked what their ideal holiday would be together, they said they’d love to spend it somewhere in the mountains. They love to relax together in a homebody settings. They just really enjoy being present and comfortable.
Sydney and Shane’s wedding will be held this October at Meadow Creek Lodge & Event Center in Pine, Colorado. They are going for a sultry and dark fall vibe. They would love to see it look like a dark Halloween ball with their black, plum, and vibrant gold color scheme. The reception is going to have what everyone needs in their lives, a taco bar! It will have with a masquerade theme; are you kidding?! Too perfect! I cannot wait to be a part of that special day with them and shoot it!
Your engagement session can take place anywhere you want or I can suggest great places depending on what you love. Your session can be anything from a shoot in your home to walking in the woods.
