why invest in photography
Searching for a photographer can be an overwhelming process. The cost is one thing, but what exactly will you get? I believe that the stories behind your memories are what matters most. So I make it my goal to capture those moments on camera, so you can remember how great your wedding was!

frequently asked questions
where are you located? do you travel?
I live in Colorado Springs and have photographed weddings throughout Colorado and across the United States. I have traveled all over the world(40 countries and counting!) and have special pricing for destination weddings. If you're planning a wedding abroad, get in touch!
how do we book our wedding date?
All we'll need is a 30% non-refundable retainer fee and a signed wedding agreement to hold your date. Both can be done online!
do we own the copyright to our photos?
Maria B. Photography owns the copyright to all images. However, I will provide you with a personal release to print at whichever lab you choose. This release doesn't include permission to sell or edit the images.
unlimited digital files? how many is that?
Every wedding is different but on average, I photograph 25+ images per hour and 50+ images per hour with a second photographer. You will receive all photos taken except for exact duplicates, flash misfiring, people blinking and test shots.
do you have insurance?
Yes, I do!
how will we receive our photos? what is your turnaround time?
12 weeks after your wedding, your edited photos will be uploaded to a password protected online gallery for you to view, share, and download. The gallery will be online for one year and can be accessed via computer, tablet or mobile phone.
do you include the raw, unedited files in the gallery?
No, I do not. Think of a raw image as cake batter. There's a good chance cake batter isn't something you want to enjoy, but once I bake it, frost it and add some sprinkles, you'll get what you wanted: a beautiful cake. Hiring me to document your wedding means you are drawn to my style of photography and the images you receive will reflect that.
what kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with professional grade Canon equipment and a variety of prime lenses. I also carry several backups in the event of a malfunction. I'm prepared for anything! Unless, you need me to kill a spider for you, then no. I'm not prepared to do that.
are you the biggest gilmore girls fan?
Oy, with the poodles already! Copper Boom! #TEAMKIRK
