When I think of Jessica and James' wedding, it always reminds me of the story they told me on how they became engaged and how unique and special it was. On what Jessica thought would be a birthday trip for James to visit Buena Vista, it ended up being a weekend that changed both of their lives forever. James packed an unusually large suitcase but Jessica just thought it was a quirky thing he did and didn't mention it. That Saturday, they went on an evening walk and ended up next to a hotel with a candlelit walkway. James handed Jessica a small book filled with words of love, pictures of them both and random things he had saved throughout their relationship so far. While she was wrapped up in the pages, James was quite literally behind her back, changing from his sweats to a suit. When Jessica got to the last page that said, "Will you marry me?" she turned to see James down on one knee, suit and all, holding a raw cut diamond ring with hammered gold. It was breathtaking. After she said yes, they went back to their AirBNB to find their friends waiting with champagne and cake! Everything he had planned was so special and meaningful, after I heard that story I knew their wedding would be just as beautiful and full of love. When I asked Jessica what her favorite part of the wedding was, she told me, "Our first look was so special. I can't describe it, but I just liked celebrating secretly with my person for a moment."
